Top GF finds in Boise

I was really surprised by how many gluten-free options Boise, Idaho has to offer! I knew they’d have safe fries because they’re known for potatoes, but I had no clue about all the other fantastic choices available.

Here are some of my favorite gluten-free spots in Boise:

1. Guru Donuts

Guru Donuts is the best place if you have a sweet tooth or want a breakfast donut! This beloved local spot offers a variety of amazing gluten-free donuts that are made from potato flour and 100% gluten-free. They offer so many gluten-free flavors; I ordered the classic rainbow donut and maple bacon with a side of coffee. Since it’s so popular, they have multiple locations! Do not skip this place, even if the line is long.

2. The Stil

While we’re still talking about sweets, I highly recommend going to The Stil for some gluten-free ice cream. This artisanal ice cream offers an almost full minute of gluten-free ice cream, including cookie dough, all made with high-quality ingredients. I bought a flight to try all of them, and the cool thing about this place is you can pair your ice cream with a flight of wine!

3. Lemon Tree Co.

This was one of the best gluten-free meals I had in Boise! I ordered a sandwich, which they’re known for, on gluten-free bread, and it was some of the best gluten-free bread I’ve ever had!! I also added a side soup, which was so good, especially on a cold day. They even gave me extra on the side. This cafe specializes in fresh and flavorful dishes made from locally sourced ingredients; you can truly taste it. Their menu includes various gluten-free options, from salads and wraps to grain bowls and smoothies.

4. Boise Fry Company

No trip to Boise is complete without eating some delicious fries, and Boise Fry Company offers gluten-free options that are so good! Their menu features a selection of potato, sweet potato, and yam fries, all cooked to perfection and seasoned with your choice of gluten-free toppings. Pair your fries with a gluten-free dipping sauce for a tasty and satisfying snack. This is a must for any trip to Boise, just for the choices of fries!! I ordered a hamburger with a locally sourced gluten-free bun, their specialty fries, and, of course, had to try the multiple sauces.
